Background

#SilverTurbo is a 1993 Chevy C1500 OBS truck originally from the rust free state of Arizona. Purchased by PSI co-ower Jon Vezzosi in the fall of 2017, the purpose of the truck build was going to be dual purpose. It was going to be a turbo truck that could work in autocross and drag racing as well as drive the Hot Rod Power Tour. The build started of quick and built a lot of momentum. The truck was taken apart completely and the cab removed from the frame. After installing a c-notch kit and coil over suspension at all four corners, the frame and suspension components were powder coated black. At the same time, the cab was sent to Santos Auto Body in Jamesburg, NJ to be sealed primed and jammed in GM Bright Blue Metallic (1998 only color). Upon returning, the cab was dropped on the frame and the engine/transmission combination were installed. The truck sat for the next 18 months as PSI moved locations and was rapidly expanding.

Fast forward to the fall of 2019 and Jon Vezzosi has finally started working on the truck again.

Progress

You can check for regular updates on #Silverturbo through PSI facebook and Instagram pages. Currently the truck sits with the engine, Holley mid-mount accessory drive, turbo and suspension installed. Rear suspension is complete with rear disc brakes recently installed. The fuel tank has been relocated to the rear of the chassis with fuel lines and filter in the process of being installed. Next steps are to start the engine and transmission wiring followed by reworking of the chassis wiring. Stay tuned for updates.
