LTX Guide

Identify your fuel pressure sensor

The Fuel Pressure Sensor is going to be one of the most important parts of determining the correct Harness/PCM for your application. This sensor is located on the back of the drivers side fuel rail which can be seen when looking at the back of the engine. This determines which ECM & TCM you will need set up for your application

4 Wire  - 2014-2016 GM Truck's & Camaro's   - 2014-2017 Corvettes

3 Wire   - 2017+ Truck's & Camaro's   - 2018+ Corvettes

Automatic Transmission Compatibility

6L80E/6L90E

- 6 Speed Transmissions have a large spiral type connector on the right side of the transmission facing torwards the back of the vehicle

- All 6L80E & 6L90E transmissions MUST be 2013 and newer in order for Operating systems to communicate

8L80E/8L90E

- The 8 speed transmissions must be matched with an engine with the correct Fuel rail pressure sensor (Example: A 2015 Transmission must be ran with a 4 wire engine)

- The TUN Number on the right side of the transmission is used to determine this. The 3rd and 4th digits in the TUN number designate model year

- 2019+ 8 speed transmissions are currently not supported

10L90E

- The 10 Speed Transmissions were only ever optioned with Late model 3 wire fuel pressure sensors and require the newer style engine

- The TUN Number on the side of the transmission determines model year of the transmission same as the 8 speed

2019+ 10 speeds must have all mechanical detents for park, reverse, neutral, and drive.

If it is a fully electronic shifting transmission, it will only have detents for park, and drive, and these transmissions are not compatible.

4L60E/4L80E

- Since the GEN V LT engines were not originally optioned with a 4 Speed Automatic they require being ran on an aftermarket transmission controller.

PSI offers a plug and play 4L80E harness and computer for gen 5 LT engines.

    LT1 vs LT4

    - LT4 Engines is the Supercharged 6.2L which is found most commonly in Z06 Corvette's, ZL1 Camaro's, & Cadillac CTS-V's after 2014

    - LT1 engines are found in Camaro SS and naturally aspirated Corvettes after the 2014 model year. Truck engine codes like the L83, L86, L87, & L8T also fall under the LT1 Category
